Visitors place pins onto their hometown.
Splash Pad
Cool off during hot Georgia Summers at the splash pad. Located next to the historic tabernacle, the splash pad is the perfect place to relax, cool off, and have fun. The splash pad was installed the spring of 2013 and has been jam packed ever since! Visitors come from all surrounding counties to play in Ashburn's super soaked splash pad.
Besides water shooters, leaking arches, and random splashing water, the splash pad also has two boat playgrounds and a comfortable restroom. Bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and your bathing suit this summer to the splash pad.
Fire Ant Festival
Held the last full weekend of March, Ashburn welcomes the Fire Ant Festival, not the ants themselves. Known for its wacky and off the wall activities, the festival offers family oriented fun for all ages.
Activities include the fire ant calling contest, the giant fire ant maze, carnival, arts and crafts, fireworks, bands, photo contest, art contest, health fair, BBQ cook-off, Strawberry cook-off, and much more!

Crime and Punishment Museum
The Crime and Punishment Museum is one of the most historical buildings in Ashburn. With a rich history and a compelling back story, the Crime and Punishment Museum will not disappoint! See a replica of Ole Sparky, Georgia's electric char. Framed in the jail itself if the collar of last man to be hanged in the jail.
The jail itself was the host of indoor hangings, where a trap door would fall through dropping the guilty person into the Sheriffs office below. Learn more about the history of the Crime and Punishment Museum by taking the tour. Contact the Chamber of Commerce for tours.
